Surya Sedona Yoga & Hiking
Yoga & Hiking with Breanna

Namaste....my name is Breanna - I was born and raised in sunny southern California.  Growing up, I enjoyed the performing arts - excelling in ballet and theatre, as well as academics.  I pursued a Liberal Arts degree in New York, while continuing to explore my love of dance and theatre.  Later I moved to Berkeley to obtain a Master's in Public Health from UC Berkeley.  While working in health administration, I found yoga and dreamed of one day teaching.  Dedicating myself to a consistent Bikram practice six years, then exploring Power and Vinyasa Flow, as well as Iyengar, Hatha, Restorative, and Yin.  After ten years studying many styles of yoga, I obtained my Hatha then Vinyasa Flow yoga teaching certifications.  My teaching style is varied, gentle, and effective - getting to the heart of all beings, enabling our souls to connect with the Divine Presence.  My practice develops strength, flexibility, balance & stamina, as well as psycho-emotional-spiritual evolution.  We are all energy!  I believe yoga is a continual process of development - always growing, changing, expanding...becoming our most perfect true selves, flowing with the Divine.

In addition to Surya Sedona Yoga, I lead private yoga sessions, yoga hikes, guided meditation and body, mind, spirit coaching with SpiritQuest and also teach yoga at the Sedona Spa at Los Abrigados Resort.

Please call or email me if you have questions about my training, yoga teaching style, or how a session could work for you.  I want to learn about you and your specific draw to yoga and/or the red rocks - to find the best possible yoga...red rock therapy!!  FOOD FOR THE SOUL....Peace & Love.  Sat Nam.

Why the name Surya Sedona Yoga?
Surya means sun in sanskrit, the ancient Vedic language which yoga was first written. It is also another name for Lord Shiva who is the originator of Hatha yoga. In Eastern tradition Surya is another name for God or the Eternal Cosmic Vibration. What more appropriate business name where we practice the sacred spiritual practice of yoga under the glorious sun of Sedona, recalling one to the eternal presence of God or the Mystery within everything. Blessings to all who read this - may all be peaceful, happy, healthy....
